This week on Tier Me Out, things get real—because we’re putting the spotlight on the habits that drive teachers just a little bit crazy.

Hosts Matthew, Shai, and Sid are joined by two very special guests: Mr. Heit and Ms. Glauda, beloved teachers at Herricks Middle School. And today, they’re ranking the most "trying" student habits—from minor quirks to full-on Tier S offenses.

🧠 Here’s what’s up for elimination:

Phones hidden behind Chromebooks
AirPods in during class
TikTok dances in the hallway
Repeating the same instructions again… and again 🔁
Slang on repeat—those same phrases every single day 🗣️
Eating during lessons (is that… a sandwich?)
Complaining about homework before it’s even assigned 😩
Calling out without raising your hand
Wearing hoodies pulled way over your head
Random questions that derail the entire lesson 🌀
Sneaky Chromebook game sessions
Asking to leave early like it’s a hobby
Pretending to be “just checking the time” on your phone

😲 The tier list might surprise you. Not every habit lands where you’d expect—and some might even earn a little sympathy from our teacher guests.

If you’ve ever done one of these—or sat next to someone who has—you’ll want to hear how Mr. Heit and Ms. Glauda rank them from Tier S (painfully disruptive) to Tier F (surprisingly forgivable).
