Episode 8: Some Angels Falling (feat. Stephanie Burt) (New X-Men 131)

World-famous, attractive, tall, and unquestionably the problem, hi, the problem, it's them...Am I talking about Taylor Swift or Scott Summers? Who can tell? This week, Josie and Becca are talking about New X-Men's new romantics in an extra-long discussion of "Some Angels Falling" with Stephanie Burt, Harvard poetry professor and author of the upcoming Taylor's Version. I mean, we get to that issue eventually, but first, a lot of asides about our favorite character who doesn't appear in this book, Kitty Pryde. At teatime, everybody agrees: you don't want to miss this one! (Anyway please note we recorded this long before the release of Life of a Showgirl.)

Content Warning: Discussions of racism

Next Week's Reading: New X-Men #132 (Ambient Magnetic Fields)
