7 - Flax: learning from the wild ones
A conversation with Beatrice Landoni on the beautiful flax family (linum). These plants have a long history of cultivation. And also a wide geographical distribution, which makes it very interesting to research their ability to adapt to different environments, as Beatrice Landoni is doing. She is a PhD student at the university of Portsmouth, in the UK, and shares with us her knowledge and experience working with mainly Linum Bienne, a wild flax variety. Although common, this variety has barely been researched! Imagine the delicate blue flax flowers dancing in the wind while listening to this podcast to learn more about this plant. Follow Beatrice Landoni on Twitter and have a look at Annet Breure’s website www.herbaltales.com. Support this podcast by leaving a review and sharing it.
