This episode is a special one, as I’ve met Lucy in the real world through CrossFit and have been impressed by both her incredible physical energy and fitness levels, as well as her kindness and open-heartedness.
Without any surprise, Lucy sharing her career journey in this episode is a true reflection of who is she as a person: expect some inspiring stories as to how she led a 20+ years career in corporate life, before starting her own business as an independent consultant.
Lucy being a working mother, she introduce us in this episode to the concept of red-tape boundaries, which is what enabled her to be the best version of herself: with her family, at the gym and at work!
About Lucy
Since 2020 Lucy has built and runs her own independent consultancy business, as a Partner at Positive Momentum, where she helps businesses and leaders to change and grow.
Prior to 2020, Lucy had spent 20 years in financial services working for Barclays Bank, Barclaycard and then moving to Insurance with Hastings Direct. She built a successful career out of leading business transformations and delivering top and bottom-line growth.
Career highlights include becoming a Managing Director in Barclaycard by the time she was 30 and was then a member of the team who took Hastings Direct through a private equity sale and subsequent IPO, joining the FTSE 250. Through the 20 years of corporate life Lucy is most proud of the teams she built and led and the fun they had along the way.
Lucy’s ‘other career’ is as a novice Crossfit coach. Having found Crossfit herself a decade ago she now enjoys coaching others in her spare time.
