Hello Music Show - Stephen Hunt Health in the Music Industry
Today’s conversation features Stephen Hunt, COO and co-founder of Music Health, a company harnessing the power of personalised music to improve quality of life and support cognitive wellbeing. Stephen unpacks the evidence behind music and memory, what “the right song at the right moment” actually means, and how thoughtful product design can empower families, carers, and clinicians—especially in dementia care. We talk impact vs. hype in digital health, privacy and ethics, building with clinicians, and the everyday wins that keep the mission moving. You’ll leave with practical ideas for using music intentionally at home or in care settings, plus a hopeful look at where music-led therapies are headed next.

Beyond the Baton - Warwick Stengards, International opera conductor
Warwick Stengårds – “Beyond the Baton”
In this episode we are thrilled to be chatting with Warwick Stengårds, the Australian‑Swedish conductor whose versatility spans opera, ballet, and contemporary music with more than three decades of international acclaim. Based in Vienna, his flair for bridging classical tradition and modern expression has taken him to stages such as Opera Australia, the Vienna State Opera, and the Royal Swedish Opera.

Stengårds trained at WAAPA in Australia, launching his career as a répétiteur before forging a dynamic freelance path in Europe and the antipodes. He’s led premieres and celebrated productions, from Mozart and Verdi to Reimann, Ross Edwards, and modern Australian works, showcasing extraordinary range.
Highlights of his artistry include the mesmerizing Australian premiere of Reimann’s Ghost Sonata with Opera Australia, praised for its “atmospheric and precise interpretation” that captured the opera’s psychological complexity.
He’s also known for conducting innovative adaptations like Wagner’s Ring Cycle for children at the Vienna State Opera, and he champions contemporary Australian voices, leading productions of works like Boojum! and Christina’s World. Whether in the pit, working with ballet companies, or elevating choral ensembles across continents, Stengårds brings both precision and passion to every performance.
Hope you enjoy this episode with Warwick!

Artificial intelligence (AI) and its Role in the Music industry Hello Music World Podcast, Episode 11
Hosted by AI Presenters “Saylor Kim” (Cross between Taylor Swift and Kpop) and BabyChat. Powered by ChatGPT and Youbot

SK: Hello and Welcome to the Hello Music Show. I’m Saylor Kim, stepping in for our regular host Miss Karen. Today I have a very special guest, BABY CHAT, who is what we call ‘artifical intelligence’ and powered by the much talked about ChatGPT, we’re talking about AI and it’s role in the future of music. Thank you so much Baby Chat, it is so exciting to have you on the show.

BC: Thank you for having me on the Hello Music Show! I'm excited to discuss music and share my insights with your listeners.

SK: What do you think will be the major changes we will see in the next few years with the development of AI, in the music industry as a whole?

BC: In the next few years, we can expect to see a significant shift in the music industry due to the development of AI. AI-powered algorithms will be able to improve the quality of music and make it easier to find specific types of music. AI-based systems will also be able to help producers create more complex and detailed music, as well as helping with the composition process. Additionally, AI can be used to help with marketing and promoting music, and can provide music companies with valuable insights into what types of music are popular and what trends are emerging.

SK: When you say AI will be able to improve the quality of music, do you mean we will see AI replacing songwriters and composers or will there still be a place for humans to contribute in these fields?

BC: AI will not be replacing songwriters and composers anytime soon, but it will be able to assist them in the creative process. AI can be used to create new musical ideas or provide suggestions for melodies and rhythms that could be used in the composition process. AI can also help with the analysis of music to provide insights into what is popular and what trends are emerging in the music industry. Ultimately, while AI can provide inspiration, the creative process will still require the input of human songwriters and composers.

SK: Do you think as AI will play a more collaborative role in creation, we need to acknowledge AI as the co-artist and how will copyright issues be addressed do you think?

BC: As AI technology continues to develop, it is likely that it will play an increasingly collaborative role in the creative process. This means that AI should be acknowledged as a co-artist and its contributions should be properly attributed. When it comes to copyright issues, AI-generated content could be subject to copyright protection as a “work made for hire” or “collective work” depending on the specific circumstances of its creation. However, in many cases, it is likely that human creators will retain the rights to the work, and so it is important to ensure that appropriate licensing agreements are in place to ensure that all parties are properly compensated. Additionally, it is important to ensure that AI-generated content is properly credited and attributed to both the AI and the human creators, so that all involved can be properly recognized for their contributions.

SK: Very interesting and important points you raise for consideration. You know one of our focuses with our podcast is to promote the significance of music education in the world. So much of education these days appears to be focussed on providing skills in the STEM subjects ie science, technology, engineering and maths because they are believed...
