In our fourteenth episode, we meet Val Moore in conversation about all things swimming. Val is a qualified open water swimming coach and an open water lifeguard. Although Val has always been active and got involved in lots of different sports including hockey and rugby in her youth, it wasn't until more recently she took the plunge and discovered not only a personal love of open water swimming but a passion for supporting others to experience the many benefits and joys of open water swimming whilst feeling safe and supported. Outdoor swimming has experienced a huge increase in popularity in recent years as more and more people want to experience the benefits for themselves. In this episode, Val shares some great tips on getting started with open water swimming and some invaluable advice around cold water swimming. If you're thinking about dipping your toe in the water, this is the episode for you.
