Emma Tytherleigh (Cambridge Urban Fitness)

In our fifteenth episode we meet Emma from Cambridge Urban Fitness. Six years ago Emma decided to give up the day job and retrain as a personal trainer. Her love for a holistic approach to health and wellbeing had inspired her to take a new chapter in her life, one that inspires others to move more. In this episode we talk about the importance of starting an exercise journey, just getting those trainers on and getting out the door for a walk is a good place to start. Emma goes on to talk about her desire to get women talking about the menopause and the benefits of having a healthy and active lifestyle at this stage of life. Her supportive programme called Joyful Menopause hopes to offer women the support and information they need at this time to make informed choices about their lifestyle. Hosting this episode is Hannah Dyke, Senior Active Lifestyles Officer at Cambridge City Council, one of the delivery partners of the Healthy You service. Healthy You is the new name for Health Services in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. It is a free service for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough residents who are looking to make changes to their lifestyle. So, whether you want to quit smoking, lead a more active lifestyle, lose some weight, or get an NHS Health Checks, Healthy You is here to help. To find out more, visit healthyyou.org.uk
