Dr. Serra grew up in Bushnell, FL. After finishing high school, he went to the University of Florida in Gainesville for his undergraduate studies. He then earned his medical degree and moved to Columbus, OH, where he completed a 6-year residency in plastic surgery at The Ohio State University, training under Dr. Robert Ruberg, the Chief of Plastic Surgery.
