This conversation is taken from my video review of the Slate Electric Flosser. The company describes it as “the future of floss”. It’s listed online at $79.99 and comprises three elements - a flosser, a massaging gum sweeper, and a tongue scraper. I bought it and used it for six and a half weeks before I went for my routine dental cleaning appointment and got my dentist’s reaction (!). You can hear about that in my review video of the Slate flosser that’s now on YouTube. See my video review here: https://youtu.be/cN7whzlICnM As part of my review, I interviewed the company’s CEO and co-founder - Brynn Snyder. Fun fact: Her husband, Dr. Danny Snyder invented the Slate Flosser. Among my questions for Brynn, I asked about the alleged benefits in early users, the possibility of inadvertent gum trauma with the device, the potential benefit to waiting after eating before using the flosser, and what kind of feedback they’d had on the almost $80 price tag. I recommend you take a look at my video review on YouTube to hear what I feel were the pros and cons of my experience with the Slate flosser. And, find out what happened when I went to see my dentist after I’d been using the electric flosser for six and a half weeks. 🔸 Get 10% off using code GEMMA10 at the Slate checkout. This is not an affiliate code. ❗️ Transparency: I do not earn any money from sales of the Slate Electric Flosser. I paid for my Slate Flosser Starter Kit just like any other customer. The company sent me a replacement after I had a technical issue and I returned my original kit to Slate Dental (you’ll see that explained in my video review). Slate did not finance the making of this episode. Protecting your baby’s microbiome to prevent eczema, allergies & asthma. Ep 62 with Meenal Lele
In this episode of healthHackers®, Meenal Lele - medical researcher, author of ‘The Baby and The Biome,’ allergy mom, and founder CEO of Lil Mixins - spoke to me about: 🔹How your baby’s risk of developing allergies, asthma, eczema and even IBS can be linked to the gut microbiome 🔹Major players in microbiome dysfunction: antibiotics, pregnancy and baby care, diet, and environment 🔹The age most food allergies develop in children (it’s younger than you think!) 🔹The only proven method to cut the risk of your baby developing food allergies 🔹How Meenal’s son’s number of food allergies jumped from 8 to 10 following oral immunotherapy 🔹Why feeding nuts, peanut, egg, and other allergenic foods in infant-safe powder forms should not interfere with breastmilk or formula 🔹The clinical studies that support the feeding of allergy-causing foods from the age of four months 🔹What we’re doing wrong when it comes to diaper changing and washing our babies that can harm their immune systems 🔹The biggest mistake we’re making with antibiotics 🔹Why eczema can trigger a chain reaction leading to food allergy and asthma 🔹Probiotics - the key strains with evidence for eczema prevention, but WHEN you take them matters Meenal's company: www.lilmixins.com My review of Lil Mixins Daily Mix: https://youtu.be/8aQEqahz8fk 👉10% DISCOUNT on Lil Mixins purchases using the coupon code healthhackers10 when you click here: https://shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=1924664&u=3282250&m=119623&urllink=&afftrack= When you use the discount code, healthHackers® receives an amount at no extra cost to you.
