Healthcare India Podcast: Season 2: Episode 8

Welcome to episode 8 Season 2 of the healthcare India Podcast. Let's look at some key figures from the registrar general of India, on the Maternal Mortality Rate in India.

The recent figures out in November 2022 show that the numbers have dropped to 97 per 1,00,000 live births. States like Kerala have come down to less than 30 per 1,00,000 live births, while the southern states are going strong, there are still states like Assam where the MMR is close to 200. Refer to this link for more details.
