# 536 - The BIGGEST 16 : 8 diet mistake people make

Weightloss, longevity, boosted energy levels and all while still being able to eat foods you enjoy, this is the promise of the 16:8 diet, which involves 16 hours of fasting and an 8 hour window during which you can consume your food. But is it all hype ?New research has emerged that the answer is not straightforward. One study compared those engaging in the 16:8 diet to a group who ate normally and actually found no significant difference in weightloss outcomes. The 16: 8 diet did however result in improved insulin sensitivity and reduced late night snacking, so not an insignifcant result in itself. People tend to make one huge mistake when trying the 16:8 diet which confounds their efforts to improve their health, in this episode I discuss what that one mistake is.
