Derek had a great chat with Paul on his approach and techniques when dealing with his kids.
Paul runs Derek through one example of how the family came to a rational agreement on the best way to handle the screen time issue using an ACT matrix.
Armed with a piece of paper, a pen and some post-it notes, Paul managed to come to a calm agreement on sensible screen use.
Next episode Paul will be running Derek and his 12 YO son through a similar position, but not something as serious and volatile as screen time. They will probably tackle Derek's desire to teach Tom the skills of his trade and use resources at hand to give him a great head start in the modern world of streaming and content creation.
