Being your Authentic Self on Stage - You know more than you think you do!

The data center industry desperately needs more diverse voices on stage, but too often, women are backing down from speaking opportunities at the last minute. Why are qualified professionals declining panels and presentations? And more importantly, how do we change that?

In this conversation, we dig into the real barriers keeping women from stepping up to the microphone, from imposter syndrome to perfectionism to the fear of being judged. Our guests share hard-won wisdom about finding your authentic voice, preparing powerful stories, and using vulnerability as a strength rather than a weakness.

Key Insights:

• Preparation beats perfection. The root of most speaking anxiety isn't lack of ability—it's lack of confidence that comes from feeling unprepared. Know your audience, understand your purpose, and craft stories with clear takeaways.

• Your experience is your expertise. You don't need decades in the field to offer valuable perspectives. Even three years of hands-on experience gives you insights worth sharing, especially when delivered authentically.

• Vulnerability creates connection. The moments that make you feel most exposed—sharing a challenge you've overcome or admitting when something didn't go as planned—are often what audiences remember most.

• Moderation is leadership. Leading a panel teaches you as much as being on one. It's an excellent way to build confidence while learning from industry experts.

• Stories matter more than slides. A compelling personal experience will resonate longer than any PowerPoint deck. Focus on the beginning, middle, and end of your story, and always tie it back to what the audience can take away.
