St. Paul VI Parish Mass: August 10, 2025

Today is August 10, 2025, the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Our celebrants were Fr. Christopher Tiano and Deacon Dominic Corraro.

In his homily, Father shares how a childhood trip to the Dachau concentration camp - where over 1,000 Catholic priests died for their faith - inspired his own calling to the priesthood. Years later, he learned his father, a quiet WWII veteran, was among those who liberated the camp.

He connects his father's sacrifice and the heroism of the priests at the camp to the gospel message, reminding us that with great blessings comes a great responsibility to share the Gospel and serve others. That gift of faith and freedom, he says, comes with a responsibility: to proclaim Jesus, serve the poor, and become the people God calls us to be.
