Nathan(@shawarmachine33) is the half-Lebanese, half-Filipino owner and chef of the highly-rated Middle Eastern restaurant Meshwe in Quezon City, Metro Manila. Also meet Aldo(@aldoritosss), who is half-Spanish and half-Filipino, and a full-time comedian with almost 10 years of experience under his belt.
The Manila stand-up comedy culture is rapidly growing with the rise of both English and Tagalog comedians, and the Half a Nice Day duo had the opportunity to learn more about the scene from active comedians Nathaniel and Aldo, while learning what drove them to becoming comedians, growing up as mixed-race individuals in Manila and their frustrations in the industry.
