
After losing his sight in 2020 due to an unsuccessful operation, Ugandan Teacher Alfred Wamani was forced to quit his teaching job at a local secondary school. A job he loved doing. He joined a computer literacy skills school for the blind and grew his business and computer skills and pitched a winning business idea at a startup capital competition. The story is about Alfred Wamani, a person with visual impairment who is beating all odds to make ends meet - from the psychological implications of visual impairment and financial shocks of covid-19 and shows disability is not inability.
