Forgiveness Meditation

I got the idea for this meditation when I woke up one morning with the song ‘The first cut is the deepest” in my head. It inspired me to work on something to heal those first wounds that we receive in our life experiences. By forgiving, and thereby healing the wounds, this changes our reactions, and minimizes, and eventually eliminates, our triggers. Because what are triggers but an extreme response to something that pings you in your subconscious, something you experienced before and never resolved or healed from. All of it stays in your psyche. And un-forgiveness blocks our capacity to give and receive love with self and others.

Do this meditation one person at a time that you’d like to forgive, you may need to repeat it for a week or more for some people in your life, or even for yourself. And feel free to pause the recording at times to journal, or reflect on what’s coming up. Insights may come when you least expect it.

May you go forward and heal and prosper.
