This week, we start with an intro from Pete discussing the show format changes thus far, and where we think we're heading. Marc and Pete then discuss Falcon and the Winter Soldier before going into the Hollywood Black List. These 10 artists were barred from Hollywood from the beginning of the 2nd Red Scare all the way until 1960. We have a talk about Kazan and On the Waterfront, Arthur Miller's The Crucible, Martin Scorsece's Silence, and Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus. During those, we talk about the charges, how the politics of the time shaped Film forever, and how these films in particular comment on the complexity and morality of confession.
We're making a list, we're checking it twice, it's Guerilla Film History Now!
