Season 2 Ep. 2 Sophia Grant

We were so happy to catch up with our classmate Sophia Grant. She is the Chief of Medical Services for the Riverside County Child Assessment Team and Medical Director of the Sexual Assault and Forensic Assessment Team. Sophia's parents are Jamaican and her father had an amazing journey from living with a dirt floor in Jamaica to becoming a doctor living in Beverly Hills. Sophia talks about her experiences growing up black in Beverly Hills, which is not a diverse city. She also talks about going to medical school at Meharry Medical College, which is a historically black college. Getting to go from a minority to the majority during her education gave her some really amazing insights that I wish everyone could experience. There's a lot to learn from in this episode and a lot of fun stories about Growing Up Beverly Hills!
