
Join us for episode eight of "Growing the Gift." where we replay the first half of Doctors with Transplants from the 2023 Pediatric Transplant Conference, part of National Pediatric Transplant Week and National Donate Life Month featuring a panel discussion with pediatric transplant physicians who received organ transplants as children. Presenters: Manu Varma, MD received a kidney transplant as a young adult at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and is a pediatric heart failure/transplant fellow at Columbia University. Ken Sutha, MD received a kidney transplant as a young adult at Emory University and a second kidney transplant at the University of Washington and is now a pediatric nephrologist at Stanford University. Julie Olson, MD received a liver transplant as a preteen at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and is now a pediatric hepatologist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Moderator: Gianna Paniagua received a first heart transplant at Columbia University in 1992, a second heart transplant at Vanderbilt University in 2021, and is now a postbaccalaureate premedical student at Columbia University (she will serve as moderator).
