
Aaron, Adam, and David receive caterpillars in the mail, along with a butterfly cage. Adam and David are full of joy, anticipation, and curiosity. Adam and David learn about raising caterpillars to turn into butterflies, which will one day be released into the outdoors. Adam and David don't want to release them, but Aaron helps them process their feelings because releasing the butterflies is what is best for the butterflies. During the story, one of the butterflies has a bent wing, is unable to fly, and eventually dies. Aaron helps Adam and David with their emotions during this process too. Throughout the entire story, there is lots of joy, even in the midst of the difficulties. In Adam and David see two of their butterflies fly past them in the outdoors!
