How to Heal Holistically and Understanding Eastern vs. Western Medicine with Michelle Larivee, Founder of WTHN

#23. Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be the entrepreneur creating the most Instagrammable NYC acupuncture studio with products popping up everywhere— from a viral post to the glossy pages of VOGUE? Blend an ancient solution with a modern appeal? Create radical transformation using the body’s natural healing capabilities— that stem from WTHN?

  • How to prepare for your first acupuncture appointment
  • The career path she believes is the best to prepare you for entrepreneurship
  • The wellness neighborhood epicenter of NYC — & our favorites spots you can’t miss!

A 10 Minute Guided Walking Meditation

#20. Welcome back to Green-ish with Ari & Kate! Today we’re going to provide a guided walking meditation. Move your body while visualizing the future you desire — this can be a powerful tool and reminder that life is too short to live as the average of yourself.

We are joined by Chris Jackson. Chris has been involved in fitness for over 25 years, playing youth sports all the way up until college. He discovered yoga at the age of 21 and was immediately hooked, starting with hot yoga and practicing for 15 years before mustering the courage to join a teacher training program. Chris learned Hatha and HPF at CorePower Yoga, and has since expanded his career, becoming certified in sculpt, barre, vinyasa, and yin yoga. With nearly 700 hours of education and learning, he has taught over 1000 classes.

We hope this provides you with a moment of peace, an opportunity to reset, or a simple, deep breath. Listen in the AM or PM, whether you’re on a trail surrounded by trees, driving, getting ready in the morning, or doing your legs up the wall at night— just sit back, relax, and visualize your most glowing YOU!

Kathryn Shah is the visionary co-founder behind Spring & Mulberry— a newly launched line of nourishing treats showing that there is more to sweet than sugar. Gut Instinct with Carla Oates, Founder of the Beauty Chef

#8. Have you ever wondered what it’s like to quit your job as Beauty Editor of a newspaper? Be the girl that makes everyone ask “how does she glow like that?!” Launch a company with 3,000 employees and a mission you refuse to give up on? Pave the way for ingestible beauty? Turn $3,000 into the “magic purple powder” that has amassed a cult following?

In season one, “The Inside-Out,” we focus on women spearheading the philosophy that beauty begins inside—from healing our heart, mind, and microbiome—& radiates outward. The pioneering of this philosophy? Carla Oates is the author of “Feeding Your Skin” & was named a “skincare innovator” by Net-a-Porter. Carla created The Beauty Chef in 2009 after healing her family’s skin issues and discovering that beautiful, radiant skin begins with a healthy gut. She began experimenting with lacto-fermenting skin-loving superfoods in her Bondi kitchen and that’s how “GLOW,” The Beauty Chef’s first inner beauty powder, was created.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • The revolutionary discovery that caused her to leave her job as Beauty Editor
  • How looking at the gut-brain axis could be the main contributor to mental health issues
  • The difference between pre and postbiotics & the most important ingredient for a healthy glow
  • How to hold people accountable in business
  • The true sign of market validation for your product
  • Why you are not subject to predisposed genetic disorders
  • The main contributor to mental health issues… that you never would have suspected
