Episode #4: Growing Cows Instead of Corn With Kipp Hinrichs

Kipp Hinrichs started out his farming career doing things the same as everyone else, growing conventional, high yield corn and soybeans on prime, irrigated cropland in south central Nebraska. 2020 brought a lot more down time and Kipp took to “YouTube University” where he came across the teachings of Gabe Brown and other regenerative farmers who were questioning the status quo. After doing the math, Kipp figured that he could actually make more profit raising livestock than growing a corn crop in the Cornhusker state. In just five years Kipp has gone from full conventional row-crop production with zero livestock to a 100% focus on rearing and finishing grass-fed and finished beef and lamb on cover crop forages.
