In TX, a sniper opened fire at a Dallas ICE field office as IL and OR see riots at ICE facilities. In LA, a statewide 911 outage left emergency services disrupted. In OR, President Trump announced the deployment of U.S. troops and federal agents to Portland. In VA, Defense Secretary Hegseth ordered all U.S. generals and admirals to gather at Quantico. In NY, the Secret Service dismantled a clandestine telecom network near the U.N. Assembly. On a national level, ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live after remarks about the Charlie Kirk assassination, with Sinclair and Nexstar initially refusing to air his show after apparent political pressure by Trump Admin.
