GRACE. Jesus didn't bring us religion; humans had long been sacrificing to the gods. His Gospel is an undeserved gift that overflows the heart and splashes out in waves that bless others. ARCHY. A suffering servant is the true king. His "government" is made up of servants who voluntarily carry a cross, go the extra mile, and care for the weakest. Church and State don't govern that way, so you're "Done." HOST. Jim Babka's career evolved from political campaigns to policy activism to principle-based philosophy. He discovered that politics corrupts character, the world hates being fixed, and debates disconnect persons. Chopping at the root requires us to address blame, envy, and scapegoating. The world needs Grace. MODERATOR. Bill Protzmann

EP143: Free Ian Freeman with Mark Edge - Gracearchy with Jim Babka
Ian Freeman, a voluntaryist and Bitcoin distributor, was prosecuted for his political views, lied about by the Justice Department, and unjustly convicted based on flimsy, frame-up charges by the IRS. In July, 2023, a couple of weeks before his appeal was denied, we sat down to talk about both Ian as a person and his criminal case with his Free Talk Live partner, Mark Edge. With Mark's help, we walk through the case, especially the convictions. Now, it's time to act - FreeIanNow.org This episode was originally recorded in July, 2025. Ian Freeman's appeal was denied on July 31. ***FreeIanNow.org*** SHOW NOTES FreeTalkLive https://blog.freetalklive.com/listen/ Talker's Magazine, Heavy Hundred https://blog.freetalklive.com/ftl-25-on-talkers-magazines-heavy-hundred-ian-sentencing-date-pushed-back-to-august-17/ Free State Project https://www.fsp.org/ We believe this is Ian Freeman's mailing address: Ian Freeman Register # 34755509 Unit JA Federal medical center, Devens PO Box 879 Ayer, MA 01432 PETITION at https://www.freeiannow.org/ DEEPER DIVE Jacob Hornberger's articles were quite helpful to show prep... https://www.fff.org/explore-freedom/article/the-unjust-conviction-of-an-innocent-man-the-ian-freeman-case-part-1/ The IRS's side of the story... https://www.irs.gov/compliance/criminal-investigation/ian-freeman-sentenced-to-8-years-in-prison-for-operating-a-bitcoin-money-laundering-scheme CHAPTERS 0:00 Theme 0:25 Mark Edge meets Ian 5:16 Brothers 6:09 Free Talk Live 11:17 Free State Project 13:14 Keene Activist Center 15:04 From politics to crypto church 20:39 Ian's civil disobedience merit badge 22:57 All rise? 26:14 Bitcoin not bombs 30:38 LocalBitcoins 32:04 Thoreau-like character 36:36 Pavel Prilotsky, the IRS drug dealer 39:12 Watch out for Feds at your events 44:08 Judge clears Ian of money-laundering 47:32 The Treasury Secretary analogy 51:09 The convictions and why they're unjust 54:38 Lonely hearts scam and unrelated testimony 57:23 Delaware Senator's revenge? sarcasm alert 59:38 Restoration not bombs, a judgment day plea 1:04:35 The appeal 1:06:03 A pardon like Ross got? 1:07:17 What YOU can do CREDITS Bill Protzmann is your moderator.
