Preparing for the future of ageing in Australia
The leaders of the aged care sector play a significant role in the future of how care will be delivered in a safe, sustainable and consistent way. Preparing for the future of ageing in Australia requires leaders to consider new research and approaches to the delivery of care services. This episode will explore what the future of ageing in Australia may look like and will cover how governing bodies and aged care leaders can consider new approaches, new models of care or research that not only respond to change but help to successfully drive it to make positive progress.   This episode features Professor Susan Kurrle AO. Professor Kurrle is a practising geriatrician and specialises in the areas of dementia, frailty, elder abuse, successful ageing and intergenerational care. She’s also a Curran Professor in Health Care for Older People and a Director of the Cognitive Decline Partnership Centre at the University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine and health. She also appeared on the ABC series, Old People’s Home for 2 Year Old's, 4 Year Old’s and Teenagers to provide her subject matter expertise and was appointed as an Officer in the Order of Australia for distinguished service to medicine as a geriatrician and for her research into dementia and cognitive decline.   To learn more or to sign up for the Governing for Reform in Aged care program visit: https://gfr.agedcarequality.gov.au
