In this episode, we are joined by Ryan Knox, Souraya Hammoud, and Gunnar Andersson from SALAR International during a book launch event featuring discussions around Decentralization, Local Governance, and Inequality in the Middle East and North Africa edited by Kristen Kao and Ellen Lust.
Our panel addressed the topic of decentralization and local governance with practical experiences from working in Iraq, Lebanon, Iraq and elsewhere in the MENA Region, and the strategic value of engaging in fostering decentralization, local governance and local sustainable development in the MENA Region.
Across different settings, all these experiences showcase the continuous work of local officials, partners and community members building effective governance from the ground up.
