S4 E3: Glenn Van Looy, Euphonium Player

On today's episode, Scott interviews Glenn Van Looy, one of the leading euphonium players of the twenty first century. He began playing the euphonium at eleven years old, in a local wind band conducted by his Father. Shortly after that, this prodigy was recruited to play with the championship “Festival Brass Band”, and “Brass Band Heist”, followed by joining one of the top bands in Europe, “Brass Band Buizingen”. Glenn has won solo championships of his native Belgium in every category, the European Solo Championships in Austria, and was the youngest winner of the British Open Solo Championship, just to name a few. In addition to juggling a busy touring and teaching schedule, he is also an artist endorser for AR Resonance Mouthpieces, who created a signature euphonium mouthpiece in his name. This championship euphonium player, certainly GOT CHOPS!
