S4 E1: Daniela Mars, Multi-Flautist

On today's episode, Scott interviews Daniela Mars, a multi-flautist from Paris, France. Born in Japan, she was raised as a child in South Korea, Brazil and England, and speaks five different languages. At seven years old, she began to play classical flute, and continued throughout her college years at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England, where she mastered her art. Recognized in France as a chamber musician and soloist, Daniela also enjoys playing in a variety of other genres as well. As a multi-flautist, she plays all the various size flutes, ranging from piccolo down to the contrabass flute. In addition, Daniela is a Trevor James bass flute artist, and an advocate for increasing commissioned works for the bass flute by living composers. In 2022, she released her visual album, “Intrinsic”, combining her passion for beautiful melodies, extended flute techniques and breathtaking nature scenes that were filmed at a national park in Brazil. This multi-flautist, certainly GOT CHOPS!
