Jesus once said that what comes out of your mouth shows what’s inside your heart (Luke 6.45).  From the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.  Like a bucket that goes down into a well and draws up either fresh water or contaminated water so the tongue dips down into the heart and draws up whatever is there, for good or for ill.  The mouth can only communicate what is already in your heart.  There are at least 150 Proverbs about the words that come out of our mouths.
