Hello, I’m Gail Nobles & you’re listening to Gospel Railway Praise. Today’s topic is about Allan Wade Houston who is an American former professional
basketball player who played in the
National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1993 to 2005. A
shooting guard, Houston played nine seasons for the New York Knicks; he was a member of the Knicks'
1999 NBA Finals team. Houston made the NBA All-Star Team twice and also won a gold medal as a member of the U.S. men's basketball team at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
In 2008, Houston was hired by the New York Knicks as assistant to the president for basketball operations. In December 2010, Houston was promoted to the position of assistant general manager. As of July 2019, Houston is special assistant to the general manager of the Knicks; he was also general manager of the Westchester Knicks, the organization's G League affiliate.
