This week Nicole sits down with Carlos Vera, cofounder and executive director of Pay Our Interns. After taking unpaid internships in D.C., Carlos and his cofounder Guillermo set out to put data to the hardships that unpaid internships have, especially on students from underprivileged backgrounds. They founded Pay Our Interns and published a report Experience Doesn't Pay the Bills. Since, they've pushed to get funding for interns and have started to see systemic change.
