Ep. 658 - GMMB Friday 26 August 2025
Dr. Pete discussed ostriches, including bird flu necessitating the culling of many as well as raising them commercially for food. Also, they are pretty good kickers, according to him. Charlie Keutman drove through the Sierras recently, where he saw Quaking Aspen, which have turned color. That got us to talking about trees that can grow here that turn color, like Chinese Pistache, Ginkgo Biloba, Japanese Maple, Crepe Myrtle and Dogwood. Baily Hogan, marketing manager for Hook stores was with us to talk about her business.
