(4:26) Another morning with live sports during the show, this time kicking off the MLB Regular Season! The Dodgers and Cubs squared off in Tokyo, Japan during the beginning of today’s show, and the Golics discuss how big Shohei Ohtani’s stardom is in the country of Japan.
(9:20) Shifting over to the gridiron, Aaron Rodgers watch enters another day with no answer. Since the start of free agency, Rodgers has been linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings, among others, but there haven’t been any massive updates on the future of the 4-time MVP. Junior and Senior discuss what’s going on in Rodgers’ camp, as well as how they feel the situation will shake out over the coming weeks/months.
(23:25) The NBA MVP Race stays hot, with Shai-Gilgeous Alexander currently leading the charge according to DraftKings Sportsbook. SGA is having a monster year, but 3-time MVP Nikola Jokic is having a record year in some of his own stat categories. The guys discuss who they feel should be the MVP, as well as how voters are approaching this year’s decision.
(39:08) Another day, another mock draft - this time from Mel Kiper Jr. The guys overview some of the highlights from Mel’s 3rd Mock Draft of the year, as well as discuss how they’re expecting some of the top quarterbacks and overall prospects to play out.
(49:42) The gang circled back to the action in Japan from the Tokyo Dome, and GoJo figured out one of his own producers has called games from the venue! The guys listened to Producer Bailey Kennedy’s Japanese baseball calls live, and discussed what they thought of his performances behind the mic.
(53:35) Jessie Coffield gives an update on the matchup going on during the show, where the LA Dodgers ended up taking down the Chicago Cubs 4-1 in Tokyo to kick off the MLB Season.
