Visualization is a powerful but complex tool. We tend to lean into visualization when an athlete is struggling with a skill or routine, or when they are injured and can’t physically do the skill. However, if a gymnast doesn’t actually believe they are capable of completing the routine or skill successfully, visualization can be extremely challenging.
