Harriet Brent, our next guest on Going Beyond The Predictable, often finds herself questioning whether she’s good enough.
At school, self-doubt surfaced during exams, and staying motivated was a challenge. But nursing school was different.
When things got tough during her training, Harriet’s default identity resurfaced - telling her she wasn’t good enough and that she should step back. But this time, she didn’t. What changed? She had a burning ambition to be a nurse so she could help people like the nurses who helped her.
In this episode, Marc and Jono speak with a very special guest, Jono’s daughter, for an honest conversation about self-doubt and how growing up with Crohn’s disease shaped how she experiences the world.
We talk about how her ambition to be a nurse helped her go beyond her predictable, and why that has been far more compelling than any push from behind.
