Going beyond the predictable means generating a future that was not going to happen anyway. To create a future that was not going to happen anyway, an individual has to go beyond what they already know or have done before. Jono Brent and Marc Pringle of In Your Corner (IYC) talk with guests about circumstances that have shaped them, and how they used these as catalysts for growth. We unpack what going beyond their predictable looks like for them, and learn how we can all shift who we are, what we know, and what we do to create an extraordinary future that goes beyond our predictable.

Exploring My Past to Transform My Future with Lee Gardiner

When dreaming up our podcast, this next guest was one of the first people to come to mind. A courageous leader, mother and friend, Lee Gardiner (Ngāti Tūwharetoa) embodies what it means to go beyond the predictable. One to never back down from a challenge, Lee is well known for her tenacity, and it is no surprise that where Lee goes, people follow.

Lee talked with us about her childhood experiences (from as young as the age of three) and how these have shaped her. We discovered where she gets her drive (if you know Lee, you have probably wondered this yourself) and discussed her experience connecting with her whakapapa as an adult after being raised in a Pākehā world.

This was a special conversation. Thank you, Lee, for sharing your story.
