There are moments in life when we find ourselves surrounded by trouble, just as Daniel was surrounded by lions.
We pray and we ask for the attacks to stop. We ask not to be thrown into the den at all. But believing isn’t proven by the absence of trouble—it is revealed in the presence of God amid the trouble.
Daniel was still thrown into the den. Jesus told us we would still have tribulation. But neither the lions nor the trials have the final word—God does.
Our focus is not meant to remain fixed on the threat, but on the One who holds all power in His hands.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
— John 16:33 (KJV)
