There is a popular trend in modern worship music today that needs to end. And that is the genre: “Jesus is my boyfriend” worship songs. You may have heard some of these songs before; songs full of allegorical, romanticized, poetic lyrics that sound more similar to a love song you would sing to your boyfriend. But we’re singing these songs to the God of the universe?
