Gloves Off is a podcast by doctors from India using pseudonyms, hoping to pique the interest of doctors and individuals not involved with medicine. we attempt to open a window into the lives of doctors, their decision making in and outside the hospital and and how medicine makes and sometimes breaks their lives. Our love for medicine brings us together as we spar with life to meet expectations of patients and their families, while trying to bring dimensions other than medicine into our lives.

This is the first segement of the first episode of Gloves Off. I'm joined by Dr. Stardust and Dr. Vaidya, as we discuss the steep learning curve that year 1 of medical school is, how it changed our perspectives towards medicine and what we wish we had done differently. We found that the 5 and a half years were too tortuous a journey for us to compress into a single episode and we will have to continue this discussion in another segment. Next time we talk about the lost glamour of forensic medicine, how epidemiology caused paradigm shifts and the rigors of internship.
keep listening and join us next week for another, hopefully smaller dose of Gloves Off.
