Tuesday, June 8th, 10 AM - 11 AM on Radio Blue Mountains 89.1 FM
This week, on Giving Back - RBM 89.1 FM, Blue Mountains Creative Arts Network’s President Graham Tribe and Committee member Julie Ankers will talk about this year’s inaugural MAX21 and the purpose behind creating the arts festival. Also what locals and visitors can expect to see and experience during this 9 day visual and aural celebration of the best of the Blue Mountains.
OWNBM (Older Women’s Network Blue Mountains), a branch of OWN (NSW) was started in the Blue Mountains by Julie Ankers, Bev Plaizier and Coralie Faye in February of this year. Based on the principle of the empowerment and rights of Older Women this rapidly growing organisation advocates on issues that directly affect many older women like the availability of affordable housing, and other vital social issues. OWNBM also provides a forum for older women to meet for discussion, hear from engaging speakers, socialise and if interested join specific interest groups.
Listen in to hear more about the great work these organisations are doing.
