This week’s episode features Diana Melencio, General Partner at XRC Ventures. XRC Ventures is a New York City-based venture capital firm and startup accelerator focused on pre-Seed to Series A startups in the retail technology, consumer goods, and consumer healthtech sectors.
Diana manages the entire XRC investment process and team and holds over 15 years of investing experience in retail, consumer and healthcare. She also built and scaled two companies in retail and consumer tech, QUINN and OKMYOUTFIT, leading major partnerships with the Hudson’s Bay Company, Neiman Marcus, MasterCard and Hearst Media.
We loved hearing Diana’s journey from founding two of her own companies to becoming General Partner at XRC Ventures! Her deep experience in retail technology, consumer goods, and consumer healthtech is very clear, and we enjoyed learning more about trends in the consumer space. Towards the end, we found ourselves tearing up at the heartfelt advice from her mentors that Diana shared with us.
