I’ll talk about why the choices we make in our homes—like natural light, color, and even the materials we use—can have a huge impact on our health. I’ll also cover the dangers of mold, how to improve indoor air quality (hello, houseplants!), and why decluttering is more powerful than you think. In this episode of Girl, Do It Yourself, I’m getting personal and sharing my journey into health and wellness—specifically how artificial food dyes, like Red Dye 40, affected my son's behavior to the point of extreme melt downs and out bursts. As a mom, I’ve had my fair share of challenges trying to figure out the best food choices for my family, and it’s been eye-opening to learn just how much these dyes are hiding in everyday products. I’ll talk about what I’ve experienced, what I’ve learned along the way, and why it’s so important to educate ourselves about what we’re putting in our bodies. My goal is to help you feel more confident in making choices that are better for your health and your kiddos’ too.

In this episode, I am going to break down some of the main reasons I decided to start this podcast. I have been asked this by some of my followers. And I've also asked myself the same question and I feel like this is my way of being open and transparent with you right from the get go while also sort of processing this for myself as well. So I'm going to talk about why I decided to start the podcast. What events have kind of brought me to this moment and then where I hope it will take me in the future.
Right now I am starting this and operating this on less than a shoestring budget. Plus, I feel like since the title of the podcast is called Girl, Do It Yourself, it is more than fitting, if not almost required, for me to start this and figure it out on my own. Practice what you preach, right?
