On the River w/ Mark Raisler from Headhunters Fly Shop
In October I headed to Montana to host our annual back to back trips on the Missouri River. On the last day of the trip for the first group, and the first day of the trip for the second group, I go fish with Mark. We mic'd up in the boat and recorded a podcast episode while fishing! We talk about trout fishing, the Missouri River, the ready position and other tactics for anglers, stories, guiding, how Covid-19 has affected our businesses, travel, and a whole lot more. I even hooked a couple fish while we talked to! Here's my favorite quote from Mark on this episode: “That’s how a lot of guides became fishing guides, their friends were so bad at rowing they couldn’t even stand to be with them when their friends were rowing so they always rowed. Consequently they got better at rowing, and then failed at the rest of life, and became fishing guides.”
