Ghost Hampton By Ken McGorry The public clamor over a purported haunted house in the middle of Bridgehampton has not died down, as much as Lyle Hall wishes it would—he’s the unlikely discoverer of whatever’s been going on inside the decrepit Victorian everyone calls Old Vic. Since Lyle’s near-death experience killing kindly Elsie Cronk with his Hummer in a grisly car crash, he hasn’t been the same. He’s seen the error of his ways, his misspent adulthood, his career as the town’s greediest lawyer, his attempted playboy lifestyle, and truly wants to make amends. One new wrinkle—Lyle hears things. Dead things, dead people. And sometimes sees them, too. He cannot control the sounds and visions. Especially when a sad girl in Victorian garb appears to him outside Old Vic. She wants something, just like living people, but does not speak English. However, she does show Lyle a terrifying vision: his estranged 30-year-old daughter’s tombstone. Southampton Police detective Georgie Hall has four more days to live. If you believe such things. And she does not. GHOST HAMPTON, based on the novel by Ken McGorry, is narrated by Dennis Kleinman and stars and array of actors bringing the story to cinematic life.

The barn burning furiously now, the possum reappears and attacks Lyle again. As he fends it off, it catches fire. But Lyle cannot figure out how to save his friend Matteo—or whatever he’s become. The roof collapses around him. Passing out in the smoke, he hears banshees cry in the night and sees a new monster approach. It’s a first responder.
