These monsters of the ocean are large, fast, agile, and apex predators. We discuss their anatomy, behavior, evolutionary adaptations and lifespans. Instead of evolving to be flat with both of their eyes on top, they evolved flat by laying on their side and then forced one eye to migrate over the top of their heads to rest next to their other eye.
