The Montreal Canadiens did not get Jordan Kyrou, but they did acquire winger Zachary Bolduc from the St Louis Blues, in exchange for right-hand defenseman Logan Mailloux
Bolduc and Mailloux were both drafted in the 1st round of the 2021 NHL draft. Bolduc was selected 17th by the St Louis Blues, and Mailloux 31st by the Habs.
Was this a good trade for the Canadiens?
Currently, the Habs are over the cap by almost $3 million. They have a lot of depth on defense. Especially, on the left side. With Lane Hutson, Kaiden Guhle, Noah Dobson, and Arber Xhekaj, could Kent Hughes look to trade Mike Matheson? or should he take a more cautious approach and keep him until they are certain that Reinbacher can start the season with the Habs (Yes, we know Reinbacher is RD, check out the episode)?
Joel Armia and Christian Dvorak are gone. They have signed with LA and Philly. Will the Canadiens miss them? Especially on the PK or in some defensive situations?
