In this message, “Our Great High Priest” from Hebrews 4:14–16, we look at the powerful comparison between Aaron, Israel’s first high priest, and Jesus, our perfect and eternal High Priest. Unlike Aaron, who was appointed to act on behalf of men in things pertaining to God, Jesus stands as the greater fulfillment—chosen from among men, yet without sin, and called directly by the Father. We also explore the unique connection between Jesus and Melchizedek, highlighting His eternal priesthood that brings us direct access to God’s throne of grace. This sermon challenges us to consider: Why do we need a High Priest? And more personally, Have you drawn near to our perfect High Priest who intercedes for us today?
