Over the next two weeks, the Daily Devo will be focusing on Matthew 5, and more specifically - the BEATITUDES. This section of Matthew 5 comes from a sermon that Jesus gives called the "Sermon on the Mount." Today we focus on being poor in spirit, so that we might be welcomed in the Kingdom - not on our own merit, but because of the sacrifice of Jesus - and the offer of eternal reign in His kingdom with Him - based on what He alone could and has done for us!
