This week Najiba is joined by Toronto based entrepreneur and small-business owner Yahan Mensah aka “The Thirteen.” Yahan launched the natural body care line (MaamiSkyn) in February of 2021 with the vision to create body care products that not only make people look and feel good; but also to serve as a form of empowerment, cultural connection, and showcasing her roots.

Body care extends beyond the surface, and throughout the episode Yahan reiterates this sentiment by discussing the importance of personalizing self care; Identifying how natural body care serves as both a form of acceptance/healing for the skin we are in, and how reconnecting to/reaffirming her inner child has allowed her to walk in her power and purpose as the woman and business owner she is today.
